This Is Me

And since I am passionate about photography, what better way to get into a little about me.
Thanks to my mom for taking and saving photos so I could scan them and digitally clean them up.
Clearly, this is a work in progress. 🙂
I don’t currently have a newborn pic of me, but I was born April 15 (Tax Day!), 1975.
Oh, the tragedies that occurred on that day: the Titanic sank (1912), Lincoln was shot (1865), Civil War officially began (1861).
I share a birthday with Leonardo da Vinci (1942).
Rhythmic movement always puts me to sleep.
I love to dig and play in the dirt so much that maybe I should’ve pursued a career in archaeology.
The stuffed bunny is Alfie; he now sleeps with my 3 year old daughter. Too cool.
This is a bittersweet photo; my brother, on the far right, passed away in 1997 at the age of 29; 2 of my cousins pictured, sisters, also passed away within a week of each other a few years ago in their thirties.
I loved to read – and still do!
This outfit was made by my mother to match the outfit on the 3 foot Raggedy Ann doll she also made.
I think the whole family was sick for our portraits. But I managed a smile. 🙂
I was a gymnast from age 4 to 18. I cried beginning my first class (I always cried at firsts – and I still get kinda stressed…), but I didn’t want to leave by the end. I competed in high school. And I got injured a lot. I have turned to yoga to maintain flexibility and strength in a gentler way.
Oh, man. The perm years. My husband calls this the graveyard picture.
Apparently, I also had a thing for sweaters…
